Noise, fury, music fed with life impulses, opposed to the concept of the charismatic leader, the Psychotic Monks are in constant search of a balance between neurotic madness and contemplative melancholy.
They express themselves in a chaos that is both thoughtful and uncontrolled, spending their days and nights between their studio and the road (60 gigs in 2016, through Rock en Seine and Bars in Trans).
Playing with walls of distorted sounds inspired by Ty Segall, Wand, Fuzz and many more, absurd and romantic universes nursed by Nick Cave's poetry, Wim Wenders' images, Eliott Smith's lament and BRMC's first album, they also send back to the alchemy of Pink Floyd's explorations into sound.
First time on stage in Brussels for the Stellar Swamp Festival, and the only French band on this year's line-up. Big rock'n roll boom, à la française.
